Lahore Resolution
On March 23, 1940, the All-India Muslim League passed the historic Lahore Resolution (later known as the Pakistan Resolution) at Minto Park. It called for independent states for Muslims in the northwestern and eastern zones of British India. Today, the Minar-e-Pakistan stands on that location.
